I called with a normal cell phone (I know I should not do it) and with TextNow. With both devices, it rang once. Then it hung up.

I’ve had half my calls do that. Keep trying with different numbers. I got this scammer to finally answer

There used to be a “code” you could type into voicemail at “Social Security” and you sometimes broke through to a human. Does anyone remember it?
