Bandwidth.com via Skype, baiting with virtual machine
HIGHLIGHTS FROM VIRTUAL MACHINE BAIT:
- The scammer will claim you are a valued customer of their service and that their phone line is recorded by the Better Business Bureau, prompting you to “cancel” by “opening the Google Chrome” by going to gobw.top (Code: 64445 IP: 154.53.51.69
). - Once they remotely connected to my virtual machine, they blanked out my screen with a fake software update while he brings up the “cancellation form” and downloads another ScreenConnect client (mk.s24.help)
- Once you have completed their form, which falsely claims they are “accredited by the FTC and the Better Business Bureau,” I was asked to log into my nonexistent bank account. I instead played him the Bhenchod Song.
