I got ahold of “David,” who wanted to remotely connect to my virtual machine with ConnectWise from cuktsite.top (Code: 69329) and UltraViewer (ID: 36547391/ADMIN-PC)
Direct line number: (856) 213-2934 (Google Voice, “Customer Care Suppoat” VM)
Once remotely connected to my virtual machine, “David” wanted me to fill out a “McAfee cancellation form” on the grounds that they work for McAfee,Norton and PayPal, before having me fill out a “PayPal cancellation and refund form”
“David” then blanked my screen with a fake software update before going to the websites for Bank of America and the Bank of Cyprus before asking me to purchase an Apple “security card” from a nearby grocery store.
I was later asked to make a wire transfer through Western Union, but instead, the scammers wanted me to register an account with Line2 so my banking details can be used to fund their phone lines.
When that didn’t work, I was then asked to log into my nonexistent CashApp and PayPal accounts before claiming to arrive on my doorstep with cash for me to use.
