I’ve searched HIGH AND LOW and all the ones that I can find were taken down by the feds. It appears to be hard to keep it live. There are a bunch on github but they are .js .json scripts that I have no skills to undestand how to use. I use windows and don’t have the setup for launching scripts outside .exe

You can install node.js or include a JS file in a webpage to run JS on Windows.
You must install Java to run Java on Windows.

Yes. You can also run JS on the backend via NodeJS.
NodeJS allows you to integrate JS into desktop applications (ever installed one through npm?) That’s a prime example of Node desktop apps.
