Freenom is a domain registrar that offers free domain registration in the .tk, .ml, .ga, .cf, and .gq zones. Scammers love free domains since they can register as many as they want without loosing money due to their domain being suspended. Furthermore, Freenom has a very bad reputation. So much so that they were once suspended by ICANN due to them cybersquatting other registrars like GoDaddy and failed to display the suspension notice on their website. Overall, Freenom is a haven for all kinds of scammers and a company known for it’s shoddy practices.
