So here’s the scoop…
tl;dr: clever american sounding voice recognition robo call ropes you into free home security in exchange for a promotional sign in your yard; then calls you back with an indian scammer 
I got a call with a number using my area code and it was a very convincing American robot that asked me questions and listened for my response. It explained the promotion I mentioned prior. At the end it asked if I wanted a call back from a technician and I said of course Very shortly after, I got a call from David claiming to be from Alarm Security Pro. he essentially rambled for 5 minutes straight about complete nonsense regarding security, and then informed me that I will need to pay $44.99 per month for their “monitoring services”. He then, in classic scammer fashion, “transferred” me to the quality control manager, Marcel. after speaking with him for a couple minutes, I had to put him on hold for something, and when I came back to my phone he hung up.
Very interesting one, I asked if they had a website and that’s the one he gave me. Curious as to the scale of this operation considering all the steps involved. Seems wayyy too complicated lol. See what you can find on these guys!
