Oh, you thought this was a cruise scam? Nah. They do it to advertize, because that makes sense. Who needs to sell cheaper tickets when you could just give them away to two random people?

Yep, this is obviously a scam.

@Kaeseluchs posted a german pop-up number yesterday: (replace/d/7809-german-popup-2-6-21) I dialed it in wrong, and got sent to a survey, then I managed to keep a 20 minute call without a credit card, somehow. It’s not the best time ever, but it still was a bit challenging to keep it going.

EDIT EDIT: Turns out if you edit the url Kaeseluchs posted, it leads to an actual page. If you switch this number to anything else, though, it doesn’t lead to anything. That technically makes this a pop-up number.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: I called this number again, and now it’s some NSFW stuff. It appears that this particular scam changes often, so don’t think I posted a false number.

If I had to guess, I’d say different people use the number at different times, and they each specialize in their own scam. Think of it as a variety number. ;)
