So this was an odd one. I was watching a YouTube video in my VM (as I sometimes do to make it look more used) and I noticed a very odd advertisement on the sidebar. It didn’t look like an ad Google would have put there, so I thought it was a scam that some of the tools that other scammers have installed or adware or something. Anyways, it had an email address and said that I needed to email them for support. I did, and they replied and helped me setup a GoToAssist session where they pointed out the “services stopped” issues to me in the chat box. This went on for a while until I called them out for scamming. They got really mad (as far as I can tell with what they wrote in the chat box) and disconnected. This seemed odd because they were just using a standard Gmail account to do business, which made it seem like more of a scam to me. The email address is [email protected]
