Extra Info: Got this call on 11:22 am on 11/18. Did not answer, but they left a voicemail I have transcribed:

Hi this is Chris with credit assistance. I’m following up on your inquiry regarding financial relief options. I’m happy to let you know that you may qualify for the additional assistance. Call me back at direct at 949 272 9292 and I can explain your options. Talk soon.

So my number is on the do not call list, and this is an unsolicited robo call. Also any real business would have given their name instead of just “credit assistance.” I do not have any debt at all, and I have never made an “inquiry” into financial relief options.

You guys know what to do. This is the way.

Everyday I get calls that say Hello, my name is [it changes, but lately it is Aliya Smith] state number FF694. This is a notification call from our Department of Tax Debt…blah blah blah! I’ve seen several posts on this board about this scam. It’s driving me crazy! I block and block but they keep calling. THe number is always different. Now the primary area code is (917) a NY number. Is there any way to make it stop??? Thanks. p.s. I’m new to this site/board. I’m not sure how else to post this message.

I’ll be honest with you buddy I don’t know of a way to stop those calls either. Other than posting the number on this forum in order to ruin a criminals day. Welcome aboard. This is the way.
