Additional information about this scam: Fidelity Customer Service scam
What’s the scam? Please don’t just take screenshots without context unless it’s a paypal or amazon, norton, etc. obvious scam
Everyone there has a foreign accent. When I called and asked about the interest rate on my Fidelity Retirement Account he had no idea what I was talking about. He said I had to sign in to my computer to be remotely controlled by them to access my account. He wanted my access code to my account. Their real number is [1 (800) 343-3548 and when you call it you get the usual Fidelity automated system. They do not answer their phone unless you go through all the prompts. For sure a scam. If you call back you get the usual we are busy call back between 8 and 5 scammer voicemail.
Oh I had no doubt that it’s a scam because I have Fidelity accounts and I know what the real number is. I just don’t think that we should post simple screenshots without some explanation or context on new potential scams. You explained it perfectly and I think the OP should have provided similar info.
I will contact him and let him know. He probably does not know because it is a new account. I would never approve the post without checking it completely,
