So this time the scammers want to communicate via text. This is what I have so far and will keep you informed as things develop. This is the actual text

Hi, I’m Thomas Wilson with The FEDERAL STUDENT AID CENTER (FSA). Following up with you about your Student Loans. You Responded (((YES))) to giving you a Call Today. I would love to go over some of the FORGIVENESS PROGRAMS with you before they Expire next Month. I was informed you wanted a phone call Today. I do have an Open Slot available for 6 PM, is that OK???

This scam also sends two pictures as well:

This is my first time trying to post pics, so let me know if I need to do something so you guys can see it. I have seen a number of student loan scams, but this one is pretty weak.

If you would like to include images in your post without uploading them directly to the site (not available to regular users), then you need to obtain direct a link to the photo(s) you want to include (one that ends with the images file extension like .jpg or .png) and paste it in between the markup tags: [IMG] LINK [/IMG]

Sites like imgur are usually what people use when the image isn't already located on a server. The ones you posted look as though they sent you the local image files directly, and not links to them, so you would need to upload them to a site first before they could be used in a post.

So they did call from that number, but when I tried to call it with my text now you had to leave a message to get called back. So they were smart enough not to allow us to phone flood them. I kept him on the phone for 21 minutes too. As always, I protected my hard earned, nonexistent, student loans. He was pissed when my alias didn’t show up :slight_smile:
