Once remotely connected to my virtual machine, “James” asked me to type my name,. email address and home address in the command prompt before running the “netstat” command so he can falsely claim my IP address was compromised.
- I was then asked to run the “tree” command so he can falsely claim my Social Security number was “illegally used” and ask me to log into my email and nonexistent bank account.
- Since I don’t do online banking, “James” falsely claimed my accounts were accessed from New York, New Jersey, Ohio and Texas within the past 48 hours before asking for the toll-free number of my fake bank (I gave him the 24/7 Lenny line).
- “James” then wanted me to purchase “government-authorized money cards” to transfer all the funds from my bank account and put it all on “a new account with the Federal Trade Commission.” I responded by blasting his ears with the bhenchod song.
