Fake Virgin Media scammer

Events described here may be off slightly since this is a third party recount of what happened to my sister.

My sister got a call on her landline from a woman supposedly from Virgin Media claiming they were going to fix her internet.

My sister says they directed her to https://virginhub24.weebly.com which is a pretty poor imitation of a virgin media site but my sister not being the most tech savvy, did not know and continued with the instructions of the caller.

On this site they got her to download a file named virginhub_connect.dng which when opened was an AnyDesk client. At this point my sister called me to ask if it was real and after explaining what happened I told her it had all the hallmarks of a tech support scam and told her to hang up and delete the remote access software. Luckily she called me in time before she gave them her access code.

After this they kept calling back with different phone numbers so they must be using a voip service to get new ones. I only noted down two numbers which are as follows:
01335 253656
01225 338545

I have since reported the fake virgin media website to weebly but I thought I would share this to see if anyone could explore this and see what they were trying to get out of victims.
