Fake Tech Support-Australian Freecall number

Phone: +61-1800-431-259

They are blocking silent numbers with a message saying ‘the number is not in service’.

They also eventually block your number (with the same message) if you display a number and call them too many times.

Number doesn’t work “Number not in service”

(Tried calling via Skype)

Number is still working they just say “Number not in service” if you don’t display your number when calling to keep us away. https://www.dialportsolutionsllc.com is the company doing this fake tech support. I just had them on my VM and they took me to that site for billing.

these guys are hopeless. what is your computer? - a chromebook - can you see the windows key? - no

15 min later the guy still doesn’t know what’s going on

these guys have no clue what a chromebook is. total of 40 min so far and still no clue. they haven't been able to access my dextop yet (lol) they didn't even try anydex - hopeless. Now they're saying, "Oh, we've found your problem..." and are asking for $199 (so they skipped to the next step LOL).

LOL

they FINALLY, got it, when at the credit card details I asked if they wanted my middle name also

M-a-d-a-r-c-h-o-d, to which he said, "wait sir, what did you say?" I replied that it was a Mauritatian middle name as my mother is from there. (He asked where that was and googled it, finding the capital being Nouakchott - so chott and chod sounding similar he let it go) but the final nail on the coffin was when my email address was rml @ bandar.com (so, in other words, if you're australian or can get access to Australian caller ID, this is a really easy one to play with). They have not experience with chromebooks at all (kept trying to download windows programs on it).

I got the above browser lock with a similar number 1800431249 3 days ago.

Have used the auto redial on these and three other scam numbers and notice that the silent number block is not always on and sometimes you can continuously call thru until they put the block on or shut the line down.

It amazes me why the telcos just don't shut these obvious scam number down. It is a discrace that this is allowed to happen but in reality very easy to put a stop to at least the 1800 numbers.

I

@Tony#12985 1800431249 is still active, they spotted my vm. they are blocking silent numbers right now though.

These two numbers need to be hammered.

1800431249
1800431259

They are blocking silent numbers but not other numbers. I am in the process of setting up an amaysim card where 1800 numbers are free and going to set it up to call once an hour with an automatic redial app on a dedicated phone to see how long till they block the number

@Tony#13372 They block numbers pretty quickly. I order $2 telstra sims for free online. but I only get one shot at them per number so far. Telstra let you dial 1800 for free with no credit, but I noticed some providers won’t let me make 1800 calls with no credit (even tho the calls are free). One way around this is to register number on skype and set skype up to display number.

Edit: those 2 numbers go to the same call centre, so once I bait one of them, I will be blocked by both of them.

They are down as of 2 pm 29/4/2018 Australian standard time
