Additional information about this scam: PIVOTEL SATELLITE PTY LIMITED are the service provider for this number and they refuse to stop the scammer. The scammers used https://rhelpcare.cc and www.anydesk.com to remotely connect to my Virtual Machine.

These scammers have a new number and they’re blocking silent numbers: If calling from outside of Australia it’s +61 485-827-964 and if calling from within Australia it’s 0485-827-964 and the service provider is PIVOTEL SATELLITE PTY LIMITED and they refuse to stop the scammers.

These scammers have a new number and they’re blocking silent numbers, but if your number was previously blocked it appears if you call this new number you won’t be blocked: If calling from outside of Australia it’s +61 485-827-963 and if calling from within Australia it’s 0485-827-963 and the service provider is PIVOTEL SATELLITE PTY LIMITED and they refuse to stop the scammers.

It looks like the slimy bastards have bought a roaming travel prepaid sim card from the Cocos Island, or Christmas Island region.
Hard to trace and harder to get it closed down. That’s probably why this number has been used for many weeks & for many scams.

Dumber than day old dogshit
Because it’s a prepaid sim card, they want only inbound calls to it. Knowing the cost associated with Australian phone network carriers and their prepaid sim scams, they could easily run up several thousand dollars a day in call costs if they start calling victims back. This isn’t VoIP territory with $0.002c/per call, this is into the almost $1/per minute kick between the spare change and car keys… direct hit to the gonads!!
