Additional information about this scam: A Google search ad for “123.hp.com/setup” is Digital Services , which links to setupprinteronline.com.
I called and spoke to John, a man of few words who transferred my call to a different John (“John 2”), who would not answer my question about his favorite color.
The number is also advertised here https://smartprints123.store/error/ .
Update: Mike Mam says his favorite color is yellow; and they moved the fake printer landing page off the homepage, now it’s hidden at HOME 2 – Digital Services .
Update: another fake HP site showing the same toll-free number: https://printsgrove.store/Setup/error/ . I spoke to (a) John again and his favorite color is black. He then handed the headset to a “senior supervisor” who ranted about the imaginary size and activities of his alleged male member.
