Additional information about this scam: The site is served as a Google search ad for the actual real URL for the genuine HP printer setup wizard. So when computer users type the URL into the search field rather than the address bar of the browser, or add an extraneous character that makes the browser interpret it as a search term rather than a URL, they get served this impersonation ad.

I spoke to John from Canon Printer Support whose favorite color is dark blue. He attempted to sing the Canon Printer Song – “Canon canon canon, good boy canon…..” It was a middling effort, he trailed off without a finale and accused me of “wasting his time.”
