Nothing terribly exciting here, just the usual difficulty scammers have when forced off script or having to deal with a foreign OS. The push now seems to get people to load AnyDesk on their phones, which I suspect are far less likely to be virtualized in any way, so they can get at much more information. I keep wondering why some of the tech support scammers want to stay connected while you go off to do something else, unless it’s so they can have unimpeded access to your machine. I’ve been tempted to let them have it and record what they’re doing, but hate to do it if they’re using your computer’s resources to increase their own. If someone has a good explanation, I’d love to hear it. The guy in the last section kept putting me on hold to either check his script or consult with someone on why none of his things would work.
