Additional information about this scam: They want to meet up someplace for you to pay your late hydro bill
I think this is a legitimate number for Oshawa Power.

I’m not surprised. These utility scams are among the worst! But I looked up the number you posted and it’s a legit phone number for Oshawa Power.
Perhaps they are spoofing that phone number.
Yet another site claims it’s not associated with them. 
He wanted to meet at Tim Hortons for me to pay my late bill…lol.

LoL. I’ve had a few from my “power company” in the past. Sadly, they use scare tactics a lot too. My mother got one a few years ago, and she was ready to pay cuz they threatened to turn off her electric and gas.
This is correct, the power company has no association with this phone number
I was able to find one thing on the web that says there is no association, yet a reverse number search shows that it is registered to Oshawa.

It’s really interesting that the power company hasn’t been able to have this number shut down.
Here is no way to call these guys I guess … we need to “wait for their call”
They are answering again, saying BC Hydro. They will meet with you to make payment.
I gave an address in Surry BC, Denny’s on King George Blvd for @ 7pm…they wanted my vehicle descrition. Blue 1985 Ford Bronco…lol

The hydro authority in my region is BC Hydro, even though their main line is 1-800-BC-HYDRO, they have many callback numbers, so it’s hard to tell apart scammers for it. Once I called their line to report an outage, and they called me back from a 1-888 number.
They have been using that number all across Canada, Oshawa Hydro, Whitby Hydro, Hamilton Hydro & Brampton. (That I know of)
They are traveling scammers
Oh man, are these Hydro scammers Indians? Hopefully, they’re not Canadians - I live in the Vancouver area and I can’t bear to see Canadians scamming Canadians because Canadians are always so friendly. I’m Canadian too, so this would be a punch in the face if it was Canadians.
Sorry to say but they are not Indians, no accent.
