Got a call this morning saying my IP address has been compromised and that i would be connected to a technician.
after following their instructions for a while they told me to download a program which isn’t TeamViewer for once its called Anydesk they will tell you to tick some boxes which will let them connect to your pc while its not on or active. this is a lot more dangerous because it allows them to go through all your personal files and passwords when you’re not even by your computer.
they then sent me a website to "prove" that they are the real BT

this is all fake, the phone number for the UK, in fact, is not even a mobile number

This website has the phone numbers for the call centres and i have called them multiple times and they do pick up.
