Got a text from them claiming to be citi bank saying there was unusual activity on my debit card. They asked to call this 800 number to verify my purchases.

@mikewhite#133047 I reported the same thing a day or so ago… almost identical automated call, except this one only asks for the last 4 digits of the SSN, and adds saying your name and mothers maden name. Everything a scammer could want just handed to them. SOB’s.

So I managed to get the robodialler up and working. Programming it to defeat the customer name detection but was interesting but it’s up and running now.
As I type this, it's banging away at the number. I think we're up to call 11 out of a programmed series of 200. I'm going to leave it running overnight and see how far it manages to get. Hopefully, it'll manage to tie up their line, costing them money and making it harder for anybody else to get through, and fill their database up with made up crap.

Annoyingly, the robodialler fell over in the night with some sort of random SIP error. The number is still up ATM though so it’s back on the case, trolling away. I think it’s up to about 50 calls now in total.
Aaaaaand that’s the century up.
A few crashes along the way, but we're now officially 100 not out.
Number’s going through to a busy message now.
I think the final tally was somewhere over 200 robocalls.
