“Michael” then falsely claimed my banking information was compromised before once again asking for me to log into my email so I can receive a “cancellation confirmation,” though he wound up opening Notepad as his “cancellation form,” asking for me to provide my name, address and SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER
I was then asked to log into my nonexistent Walmart and Amazon accounts, despite the fact that I had already told him I don’t do online shopping, before he asked me to go to my local branch and withdraw money so it can be “secured” in a “secure account.”
I then got a fake “credit alert,” falsely claiming I received a “credit” of $1,499.99, urging me to call the Mayfair Communications number (888) 700-4803, which is currently parked for pick-a-scam.
I was then asked to go to a nearby Walmart and deposit $1,000 to a Walmart Money account. As such, I faked going to a Walmart and falsely claimed they rejected the transaction due to fraudulent activity, prompting him to ask me to purchase two $500 Apple gift cards.
I was then asked to drive to my local branch and wire all of my savings to a designated courier, or money mule. I refused, and they asked me to purchase gift cards
