Facebook Scam stealing Money

Scam Number: 805-515-4933
Scammer’s Website or Email: [email protected]
Additional information about this scam: Took my money from account, and using a app called Control to gain access to my phone after it crashed to help me get my Facebook account back. They 2 transactions - 1 -$999, and 2 - $150. When I call they tell me I was the one who messed up, but how can I mess up when I wasn’t even in my account. Then tell me I can get my money back if I go by a $200 Ebay card. The guy name was Shawn Lawson, and then transferred to security with his Supervisor Alexander. I am filing a police report, and informed the Better Business Bureau on them. He was getting mad stating I wasn’t following his instructions, but the entire he was roaming around my phone to get money and he won that one. Now my bank doesn’t want to give it back seeing that I have never sent money a email address.

Welcome to the community, @vshell1960.

Truly I am sorry to hear about your experience. I feel for you. The fine folks in this community seek to fight crime and are opposed to scammers.

Just now I called this 805-515-4933. I pressed 1 per the robotic voice. It is ringing … still ringing … still ringing … then it went to a busy signal. I’m calling from a TextNow phone number via my Cell phone. Maybe they are not answering at present.

This is a cheaparsed scammer using a TextNow number for his bullshit
I just slammed him and this is the result very quickly
Don’t talk to him…just call the number over and over
You too will hear this and he will get no calls from any potential victim

Wow, with a TextNow number it does not take long at all!

Yes, we in this website hear that message “You’ve made too many calls” when we call sometimes a scammer’s phone number that was posted. Sometimes in posts to threads some users in this site have mentioned it; and personally I have heard it when I am calling some scammer phone numbers.

I figured that it was on THEIR end from THEIR phone number.

Yep, that’s right
It’s not you that’s getting the warning of making too many calls…its their end of the TextNow number they are using not accepting the calls because it has used the system too many times over a short period of time

The idiot PCH scammers are exactly the same
Unless they’ve had a big score and splash out for a TF number which they often do
Then a utter bastard like me and others can cost them a small fortune by flooding the message bank with calls to no-one.
I often wonder how much time those coconut jugglers spend calling all those pointless dead numbers back.
I have my system rigged to used only dead CID’s I have personally searched for and vetted which are unallocated, idle telco numbers.

Haha, coconut jugglers! Hilarious!

Wow, @LordOfTheRings. That is so freakin’ great!

Cool, you verify that the spoofed numbers from which you are dialing are NOT real numbers of innocent unsuspecting people!

Thank you for this recording, they are about to drain her bank account. What isbthe reason she cannot tellnher bank what they are doing. Thats a res flag. I was never told that.

Welcome to the community, I wish it were under better circumstances. Sadly, these scammers are overseas and filing a police report, although not a bad idea, will not get your money back. Police in the United States do not have jurisdiction in many countries. Sadly, these people do this every day to countless innocent victims. It’s a multi-billion dollar crime industry.
I hope you can join us & fight back to save others!

Thank you for this information! The police report is mainly for my bank to let them know that I did not authorize them to have the funds. I would love to join in to help stop the criminals from hurting others. I am retire Army, and I still cannot believe people are still going this far to hurt others pockets.
