Additional information about this scam: While searching numbers, I saw a poster on guru state “Found on google search for Facebook Meta Toll Free Call”. Once I called the scammer, the first thing he said was that I needed to connect to the secure server because my account was hacked. Then he asked if I knew anyone in Dayton.
I’m on it like a red-tailed hawk on a half-dead rabbit with my Unknown Number VOIP.
The (833) number posted originally was answered a few times and I just messed with them and did not try to bait. For over 5 minutes my most recent call to the (833) number has some HOLD music, and it is actually some great classical guitar being played. The HOLD music keeps cutting in and out though. This toll-free line sounds horrible.
I am letting the call to the (833) number keep increasing the counter and their phone bill while I attack the TextNow number with my Unknown Number VOIP.
Yes, I am on call with guy who answered the TextNow number (917) 932-2426.
