Enlargement spam/scam

Told me they were a legit business and it effected their pay. Said they noted my number and that I wouldn’t want to talk with them again (seems like a threat). I called them from a fake spambait number, and I can just change the number as I used anonymous caller ID.

Congratulations!!

I think we need to be careful about what we call a scam. While this is certainly a snake-oil product, that doesn’t mean they’re necessarily scamming people. This is a legitimate product that is sold on Amazon. They obviously use misleading advertising not unlike every product that is sold on social media that uses Joe Rogan’s AI voice. They aren’t conducting a clinical trial at all but again, I don’t think this constitutes a scam. Just because the product is ineffective doesn’t fit the scam characterization that we typically use here.

Their product is saying “FREE”. They are not giving stuff away for free. Thats what a scam is.

They send out batch texts, violate the DNC, and I’ve personally asked to be removed from their call list (they text several of my numbers) and I’ve been met with attitudes, rudeness and one idiot was calling me back from a TextNow number to literally threaten my life.

Understand 100% about them violating the DNC. I’ve gone after several robocallers and text message senders in the US because of my opting in to the DNC registry. I agree that the practices are unscrupulous but I don’t think they are necessarily scams…but I definitely get your point.

Exactly, they are scammers
