EMS Online Post - Scam?

Hi,

http://ems-courier.com/tracking.html

This is a link to the tracking site of, what I believe to be a scammer.

I purchased some CBD products online, around £200 worth. The seller then emailed me to confirm safe receipt of payment, and that EMS would then be delivering the item. They prodvided me a tracking number. I checked daily to see if there were any updates, I'd been told it was a next day delivery service, so when a week had gone by without the parcel moving at all, I decided to contact EMS and ask what was up.

They explained that it was on hold, and required an insurance payment of double the items value (I should have been suspicious here, because the value was £200, but they had asked for £180, for insurance), and that 98% of this would be paid back to me on safe receipt of the items. I asked them how to pay, and asked if I could have bak details to transfer too, at this point, things got more suspicious, they wouldn't provide me with any, and kept directing me to Western Union to make the payment - I went back to the seller to find out more, as communication wasn't going well with EMS at this stage. The seller came back and said, sure enough, they needed the insurance, and that they were sorry, they didn't know EMS were carrying this policy, they asked me to pay them the insurance, and that they would send it on to EMS.

I got an email then from EMS to confirm they'd got the payment, but then, they asked for a further £120, this was for a customs sticker, apparently, to ensure the item would not be checked through customs. I at this point went back to them, and said "I'm sorry, this is getting silly now. I don't want to send any more money until I know it's the final payment, and you will give me an estimated delivery date." This to me is a seemingly normal request, but I was met with threats almost immediately. "We will have no choice but to expose the contents of your package to the Police. We suggest you co-operate"

I think I'm going to try my best to just ignore, and cut my losses here, does anyone have any advice? I feel like a right idiot.. and sorry if this site doesn't cover UK scams!

The site I purchased from is here; https://kush-meds.co.uk/ - It's worth noting, I kicked off (I was really annoyed, and I know it was stupid) at them via their live chat, all of a sudden, I can't speak to them on live chat, so I have a feeling the whole set up is a scam.

Please tell me what to do...

Matt

@89ShadowUK#87670 hopefully you paid with a credit card. Dispute the charge that you did not receive the item. All of these extra charges are BS

Sadly not. I was a fool. It was a transfer so like I say, think it’s gone beyond me now. Guess all I can really do is try and warn others, doesn’t seem to be a huge amount of information on the web about them in the UK specifically.

Oh, update, after telling them I wouldn't pay via bit coin... they've asked me to buy an Amazon gift card, scratch the back, and send them a photo - and not to pay for the giftcard with a credit or debit card. So guess that about wraps it up. Going to ignore further emails and kiss my money good bye, lesson learned though,
