Appears to be a legit number. I actually spoke with one of their reps on this 855 number. American. Entrust Energy. While some people might think that this business model is a rip off, it doesn’t mean it is a scam that deserves our attention.
Please provide additional information that this is a scamer's number.

I only mentioned "American" because the OP said Indian. No doubt about American scammers. Do you watch American Greed on TV? Makes your blood boil.
Anyway, I don't disagree with you, either, about those power and gas "brokers" who violate do not call lists as well as make a nuisance of themselves knocking on doors and pretending to be from the actual utility.
Does it justify flooding their legitimate customer service phone number?
@jaymee#139572 Yes. It is the only means to combat it. FTC and state AGs do nothing. Harassment is a crime. But the local police don’t want to address it (let’s face it, it is small potatoes) and the civil action is simply not worth the cost for the benefit. The general public is left with one option: ignore the calls and visits or waste their time and money to the point that it is no longer a viable operation. Ignoring the issue will not make it go away, there are always victims still getting cheated. That’s why the scams still exist.
Here's a test to see how legitimate they are if you are unsure: pretend you are a real customer. Ask questions about the company background. When they refuse to answer and hang up, as yourself is that what real customer service from a legit company do? When you ask for their website so that you can pull it up and follow it along, what do they say?
