On January 26, 2025, police in Delhi, India raided and shut down an illegal call center that operated under the names of “eGeeks Technical Services”, “A to Z Technical Services.” and “H and P Global Associates, Inc.” The scammers falsely claimed to operate out of Edison, New Jersey and Sunnyvale, California when their call center actually operated out of F-7B, Pocket F, Okhla Phase I, Okhla Industrial Estate, New Delhi, Delhi 110020, India.
In addition to generating fraudulent advertisements claiming to be from or on behalf of Internet Service Providers like Spectrum and DirecTV, the company has facilitated Microsoft technical support scams with fake popups, use of UltraViewer to remotely connect to their victims and Event Viewer to falsely claim services were stopped by hackers in order to sell their “suppoat” plans, whgich are paid for via Stripe and PayPal.
It is unclear how many people were raided during the operation, though Nanobaiter has confirmed that their kingpin, Sushil Chouhan, was arrested by authorities for operating the call center and managing the finances, websites and phone system.
