found this pop up with this number 1-888-851-5159. also if im just finding pop ups am i totally secure from the scanners just by calling them?
@jujuboss280#97387 Please post the popup link aswell if you have it.
You’re safe to call them if you’re using a 3rd party service such as FireRTC, TextNow, Skype or Google Hangouts.
Do not call them using your real phone number, also *67 does not work!

@NeeP#97390 On rare occasions, for me *67 worked. A scammer told me, “Sir I cannot see your phone number. Could you give it to me?”. I gave him a number that is currently out of service. I usually use my number but making calls through TextNow and Google Voice have been a rising trend for me and the use of their services have been frequent today. When he realized that I added another scammer to the call (I used Windows 10’s Microphone Array and that let the scammers communicate with each other), he they both started talking in Hindi, or at least one of them was. I added two tabs of Google Voice and they were initially talking in English. When he (Scammer B) realized I was on the line too, I was warned it was a scam and that I should restart my computer. I knew all along that it was just fake. Scammer A wanted to deceive me. At least Scammer B warned me about the scam, even though he was a scammer too. Some crooks feel the need to be honest and that’s the right approach.
@E_Pluribus_Unum#170912 Great. Could you please describe briefly how does Microsoft Mic array work? Thanks
@drwat#170917 Microphone Array lets someone hear your voice or something else very clearly if you’re on a phone call or recording audio. In order for something to be heard clearly, whether it is a phone call or recording audio, you would have to put the volume high and make sure there is no background noise. If you’re using your voice, speak a tad bit loud or use your headphones. If you’re using your headphones to say something, or to communicate over the phone through skype, FireRTC, etc, you would not need to speak loudly. Instead, it would be ok to speak at a normal tone.
