Yes I know about the illegal nature of this + I’m not asking how to do it
Would DoSing a call center’s IP be just as effective as call flooding? This was just something on my mind because 99.99% of call centers use VoIP phones, which obviously require internet.
Plus if I could do it, it would be free lol
Edited it to say DoS instead of DDoS, because I’m not using a botnet in order for it to be ‘distributed’
DDOSing is much more harmful than number flooding, also number flooding costs a lot more money. It’s more effective because if you flood their number they will change it within 2-3 minutes, so it’s better to just DDOS them,
While I have no experience with DOS or DDOS, if you were to target their “call center”, how would you know to what effect you are having? With flooding, at the very least you can see the logs of the calls go from active to busy. Granted, you’re only eating up a few seconds of their time.
The thing is, I don’t want to spend money on even more phone numbers (I am currently paying $2 a month for a US and UK number with telnyx). Since I don’t have an income (I’m 14).
If I could and if I could have the money for it, I would call flood. But I would probably hear the effect of DoSing them by listening to the call’s quality degrade further and further and then it would probably hang up itself, since they use VoIP.
If the call center has a static IP, I could just leave my computer on and DoS them for a day or two. Since it would take them weeks for a new router to be delivered.
Where are you located? Curious mom here. I’m interested in your call flooding program. Is it something that can be sent to someone else (like me)? My son created one at 13 (6 years ago) for scammers who called him, but eventually removed it.
Ports don’t matter when your server’s connection is being overwhelmed by too much data. If I sent a 1Tbps flood to a pbx server it would go down no matter what ports they close.
A DoS ain’t gonna do much though, you’d want to do a DDoS.
Most scammer websites go down quickly/taken down so I feel DDoSing is like hitting a sinking ship unless they’re big scam websites like myphonesupport or some other ones.
