Did I Just Talk to a Nice Scammer?

So I was doing my usual trolling of SSA lines and I came across a scammer who gave me the requisite spiel about how my number was compromised and such… Until I told him I was “77 years old” and how The SSA called me a year ago and demanded I buy Target gift cards for them.

Imagine my surprise when he came right out and told me to not answer any of these calls anymore because they are scams.

I immediately broke character and commended him for not being as soulless as everyone else I talk to on a daily basis. After that we had a discussion about other job opportunities and business ventures that could benefit him way more than stealing from the innocent. He could be completely pulling my chain but at the very least I killed 30 minutes that he could've scammed someone else. I don't know though. Is there a chance some of these awful people could be converted?

@getpunked#175469 I’ve had similar conversations in the past, and there are YouTube videos about saving scammers from their miserable situations. Good to hear about your recent experience.

@jaymee#175472 Trilogy Media has changed for better just three scammers. Positive is that it is possible for a scammer to find a way out of this hole.

@getpunked#175469 Maybe the scammer didn’t want to scam anymore/he’s getting fired already or the most likely you spoke to a scambaiter.

Yes, I contributed to fund the Taxi purchase. One of the 3 looks like from Nagaland.

@jaymee#175672 Yes, I did see his village/town pictures
