Delhi Police RAIDS, shuts down "tech suppoat" SCAM (14 ARRESTED!)

On June 21, 2026, police in Delhi, India raided an illegal call center operating out of a residential district in Sector 5, Dwarka for facilitating common technical support scams against United States citizens, where

  • The scammers will generate fake virus popups, urging the victims to call a designated toll-free “suppoat” number.
  • When called, the scammers will gain remote access to their victims’ computer and run the “netstat” and “dir/s” commands to artificially inflate the severity of the nonexistent threat.
  • The scammers will later demand “processing fees” from about $500 to $3,000 by having their victims either purchase gift cards from a nearby store or to deposit the funds into a Bitcoin ATM.

14 bhenchods were arrested:

  • Jaspreet “Jassi” Singh, the kingpin from Delhi
  • Pawan Gupta, a 32-year-old manager
  • Ved Prakash Gaur, a 30-year-old manager
  • Kushagr Bishnoi, a 26-year-old manager
  • Satya Prakash Shukla, a 27-year-old tele-caller
  • Kshitiz Malik, a 29-year-old tele-caller
  • Raman Kumar Kalshan, a 30-year-old tele-caller
  • Dilip Kumar, a 31-year-old tele-caller
  • Mukesh/Sam, a 26-year-old tele-caller
  • Aniket/Alex, a 26-year-old tele-caller
  • Shubham Shivam, a 28-year-old tele-caller
  • Upender, a 26-year-old tele-caller
  • Ankit Sonkar, a 31-year-old tele-caller
  • Saurabh Dixit, a 27-year-old tele-caller
  • Himanshu, a 27-year-old tele-caller

Police have also seized 13 laptops with accessories, 25 cell phones, databases of American victims and other incriminating digital evidence.
