On November 20, 2025, Delhi police launched a massive 48-hour operation, dubbed “Cyber Hawk,” to crack down on organized cybercriminal networks, including phishing attempts, investment fraud and technical support scam operations.
At the time of writing, over 700 cybercriminals have already been arrested and police have uncovered a series of suspicious/fraudulent transactions estimated to be worth around 1,000 crore in Indian rupees, or $112,741,900.00.

MAJOR UPDATE: A total of 4,467 suspects were detained, 877 of which were arrested. 509 individuals had also received notices under the BNSS for suspected involvement in cybercrime.
