Extra Info: I got a call from this number and it did the general “BOOP” noise that a spoofed number would make. It is also a copy of the area code of where I’m from and not where I live which is another sign of a scam. It was an Indian woman (another sign of a scam) She was asking questions about student loan debt, medical debt etc. (She also asked for a fake name that I gave scammers before)
I made up a bunch of info about student loan debt and she transferred me to someone to see if I’d be qualified for forgiveness. His name was “Craig Gustafson” with “Debt Eaze”. He actually sounded American and legit. Anyway I made some excuse to hang up before he could tell that I didn’t have a student loan in the system. He seems legit but there was something fishy about the first call that led to him. I have his business email signature but I don’t know how to post screenshots on here.
