Debt collection scam
Been calling them, but they keep asking what type of payment i missed. I spent some time and they are pretty stupid as after a few minutes of heckling with her, she got into her scam routine. She was american!
They charged $1,304.29
She saved me $521.71
There's a 7% processing fee
Total $837.34 ($51 fee + $781)
I asked who they were: They said directory recovery services. Affiliated with Check'ngo
They're based in Minnesota
And they went right into the "what card do you want to use"
@CaptainBlastin#31877 Well you know, there are folks on here, that don’t believe that the American scammer numbers I post are in fact scammers. They say… seems legit to me… well no sh-t. They would not be good scammers if they weren’t believable. Thanks for confirming it is an American scammer!
Same goes with the hotel reservation scammers - most are either Canadian or American. They “give” you a free stay at their hotel to listen to their pyramid schemes and time share BS.
I just hope that either the card didn’t actually go through, or if it did, that it was an empty account or whoever owned it canceled the transaction or signed an affidavit.
