Debt Collection Industry Angry at John Oliver's Robocall Segment

So most of you have seen the John Oliver bit:

It's clear the debt collection lobby wants to define what a "robocall" is because they hate that term. Pointing a robot at a debtor and calling them 15 times a day for months on end, to them, is not robodialing. Even though it's certainly abusive.

To them, "robocall" is limited only to cold calls (sales) and scam calls (non-legit businesses)... but not to debt collectors, since this is their primary tool of harass... er... "notifying" debtors.

I think the vast public would disagree with the industry's assertions, but whatever. I like how they avoid talking about the poor Wells Fargo customer that John Oliver debuted who sued Wells Fargo because one of their debt collection contractors decided to call the woman several thousand times.
