Claim they are calling from your credit card to offer you a lower interest rate. It’s the scam where they ask if you want the lower rate on your Visa or Mastercard… then they ask, what is the number on it? What is your exact name as printed on the card? Your billing zip code? Numbers on the back of the card? Full home address? Mother’s maiden name? Birth date? SSN?

Basically they just pump you for information until you hang up, presumably to steal your identity, and your money.

I was getting a live human scammer until until my most recent call to these guys, where I got an automated system that fishes for information. I don’t know if I was directed to that because I had already called a dozen times, or if they turn that on when they go to lunch, or what.
