NOTES:

  • Evidence suggests that Bandwidth’s support team solely relies on buyer responses.
  • Onvoy and Peerless network are among a few carriers who will reply to fraud complaints by simply shifting the blame elsewhere.
  • According to 2022 FTC Data, consumers lost approximately $8.8 billion to scam calls, which were made approximately 2.1 billion times per month.
  • Most of the aforementioned scam calls come from VoIP numbers, with the resellers rarely having direct knowledge of their end users operating in India, Pakistan, Jamaica and the Philippines.
  • Scammer.info & TeamSDS were mentioned in the report, with @R11R and @Bea Hindebars being named.

Thanks for sharing.
It’s the resellers taking advantage of the fact that Bandwidth don’t verify their claims, we are now getting the same issue with Peerless, they just forward the response of the reseller without verifying, their resellers are lying to them, they know this because we tell them, they should verify.
