Baited them for 15 minutes (didn’t have time to go any further). Don’t tell them any of your info. They’ll just verify it through the real Comcast/XFinity. Tell them you’re interested in being a new customer. We talked about:
Products (phone, cable, internet).
I inquired about the internet. He offered 40Mbps, 500Mbps and 1.5Tbps (Yes, he did say “1.5 Terabytes Per Second”!!!)
He asked if I have my own modem. I told him yes it’s a Motorola DOCSIS 77.9, which doesn’t exist. He said it will work!
I then told him the line was choppy and will call him back.
So if you want to bait them, just tell them you want new service! Don’t tell them you’re an existing customer.
New Xfinity/Comcast number 888-479-8755.
Scammer called me said they were from Amazon and were outside my house then he went off on me for 45 minutes! The usual same old insults! I then placed my phone on my Alexa and played Johnny Cash until he hung up.
That’s adorable
This place is split up & routes to several dozen large call centers
They run this scam every day apart from Sundays
I currently have approximately 495 active numbers for them
they’re ALL active
I found 30 more in the 844 prefix and well as another 9 in the 888 prefix earlier today, that no-one but me and the victims who contact them know of
There is many hundreds more of them out there yet to discover.
I can only listen in on two search dialers running at once to distinguish what numbers are active and what to discard.
This is how you know if they are scammers or real - the 50% off with gift card payment. Often, the hold recording will mention a partnership with eBay or Target - that is a clue. If they don’t want payment with gift card, it’s not likely a scammer. Yes, they do want real Comcast customers - and they verify this so you must be a good baiter to get past the initial interviewl There are many, many legit Comcast/Xfinity authorized dealers with many different phone numbers, so always be certain you really have a scammer before abusing.
