This scam is very easy to fall for. First you get a text from a number in the states that tells you: “CIBC message Alert for (phone number) Account temporarily suspended. Log in here to restore your banking (link) QC-Q9334”
I'm not using CIBC so, I'm not sure why I got a text like this. I went on the website on my computer under the intentions that it's a scam. And to my eyes came a warning from google say that the site was "Deceptive". I still went on the site knowing 100% that it was a scam. The site looked just like the real CIBC banking site, with only a few tweaks. I entered a bunch on fake info to it, and it told me that my account was now restored. After 10 seconds, it puts you to the real CIBC banking site.
Please don't fall for this. I'll link the under this if you want to flood there scammie little system with fake info.
