Christopher Machelon Andrews ARRESTED for facilitating jury duty SCAM

On August 9, 2025, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama arrested 36-year-old Escambia County, Florida resident Christopher Machelon Andrews for facilitating a jury duty scam, where:

  • Andrews would spoof the phone number of Madison County Sheriffs and pose as a law enforcement officer, threatening to arrest his victim for failing to appear in court on a federal case.
  • In order to avoid being arrested, the victim was asked to pay $7,500 through Apple Pay and Green Dot money cards.

Andrews is currently being held in Madison County with a $30,000 bond on felony charges of theft by deception and impersonating a peace officer. This means he faces 5-30 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,.000.

He needs his teeth removed, he’s smiling because he knows he will be free soon.

It’s not like it was when we were kids, is it? Hell, I’d fall out of tree, dust myself off and keep playing.
These days, I scoop ice cream that’s too frozen and I’m in pain for a month. :joy:
If, as the say, misery loves company, I’m still recovering from my last surgery and I’m having another in two weeks.
Sending well wishes, good vibes and a cyber hug
