Christian Ganj Police RAIDS, shuts down loan/life insurance scam operation (18 ARRESTED)

On August 11, 2024, Police from the Christian Ganj station in Ajmer raided and shut down an illegal call center for deceiving American citizens with prerecorded robocalls offering a low-interest loan and having them provide their personal details for a life insurance policy. The call center was operating out of Sanjay Palace, a banquet hall or “marriage garden” operating out of Foy Sagar Rd, opposite Gurudwara, Rawat Nagar, Ajmer, Rajasthan 305001, India.

  • 18 were arrested during the raid, 14 men and 4 women from Haryana, Delhi, Bihar and Punjab. This also includes Delhi resident Shivam Kumar who rented out space to establish his scam call center.
  • Police have also seized 29 laptops, 40 mobile phones and an unspecified amount of SIM cards.

MAJOR UPDATE: A court h0as ordered the 18 arrested to be on two days of police remand, as officials wanted to investigate further and uncover the links and network of these fake call centers to identify the masterminds responsible.
