I received a call about 30 minutes ago and there was this Chinese lady speaking Mandarin so I handed the phone to my Chinese friend who knows Mandarin. But basically the lady claimed they are from the Chineese consulate and that my “green card” is at risk because someone hacked into my credit card info. I am a US citizen and I am not even Chinese. They asked me for my credit card info and I hung up immediately after that. Please know that this scam is targeted at people in Chinese majority communities in the US and many people actually fall for this scam. Please have a heart and scambait the hell out of them.
