Jim Browning found out about this site in his latest YouTube video. It’s used by tech support scammers to persuade the victim that their email has been hacked and gives the same result each time.

Yep, on my scambait virtual machine I block checkemailstatus.com and www.checkemailstatus.com. Those idiot scammers used this on me about a year ago and no amount of argument swayed them so I block that site.

Is there any point trying to report it?

It’s worth reporting but they’ll just move onto another cloud platform. They’ve been around for more than a year now… it’s not new at all.
