On July 7, 2025, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in India, with assistance from Microsoft, the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National Crime Agency of Great Britain, conducted a breakthrough raid as part of Operation Chakra-V and shut down FirstIdea Solutions Private Limited for facilitating Microsoft technical support scams against British and Australian nationals.
Three locations in Noida, Uttar Pradesh were searched during the operation, including a fully functional scam call center in the Special Economic Zone operated by director Nishant Walia (pictured above), who is also listed as the director for Click Aurum Private Limited. Police noted that the call center was technologically sophisticated in the fact that they enabled cross-border anonymity and large-scale victim targeting.
Police have also seized extensive evidence against these bhenchods, including advanced calling infrastructure, malicious scripts and documents revealing the scale of their operations.
