I get these pretty often since I am in a catering business. Usually starts with a random text of someone wanting an order of food and beverages and then they ask about who we use for credit card information as well as that they cant use a phone because they have had ear surgery. Pretty concerning since they know your information but you know nothing about them. Not to sure what the end game is other than them getting your information and Credit Card. I actually was even asked for my ID to confirm the companies legitimacy. Curious to what anyone can find out. I know this affects many small business owners that deal with food.
