They keep trying to hack peoples Instagram accounts and impersonating people that a person knows about a $500 prize via CashApp.

I don’t see what that explains? It just says that they clicked a link about a $500 Cash App prize and got hacked.
The same thing happened to me, I accidentally clicked the link and they hacked my account, sorry if I was a bit unclear
Did you download anything or paste any code into the console after clicking the link? If your account was hacked immediately after clicking the link, that’s a very serious XSS vulnerability in Instagram, so you should tell them what happened immediately.
