So I’ve had a few successes that have totaled out to about 80 minutes of time with me and not a victim but my problem is, I have a hard time getting them to believe they called me. I got one guy to generate me a case number but I was curious, how do you guys get them to believe you or how do you get a case number?
@beetle#55506 For tech scams; Say you do not have a case number and you are first time caller and you got a pop-up message with xyz phone number (provide pop-up details). Or say I found your number while search for … xyz.
In case IRS scams, say you saw the phone number in caller ID on your phone and there was no case number (or you do not have answering machine)
