Car warranty scam

There is a new scam where your caller id actually shows a local number. When you answer a bobs and vageneite answers and asks you for credit card info or they try to get you to “extend” the warranty on your car. I’ve called back a few times and the number always says “disconnected” which is obviously not what a legitimate business does. I cannot figure a way to put up their info for everyone to call them but if anyone has any suggestions these cocksuckers call at least twice a day and I’d really like to get them.

They are using a spoofed number so they can hide themselves. In a couple of calls from vacation scammers, I have been able to get their direct number. When they called me, their recording says press 1 if you are interested or press 2 to be removed from their list. I press the 1 key. Then I talk to someone and act like I am really interested. I use fake names and fake credit card numbers. At some point during the call, I disconnect the line. Sometimes in my mid sentence when I am talking to them. This way it sounds like the call really was disconnected by accident. Then, because I was an interested customer, they call me back using their real, non-spoofed number. At that point I have their real number. I answer and tell them I am not interested.

The danger to this is that they are calling on your real phone number.
