@colbags I fixed the phone number that was posted - 5372 instead of 5371 - was posted in error.
HD Carrier, answers as “PayPal” and falsely claimed someone from Texas used your identity to register a PayPal account to purchase Bitcoin, prompting you to “cancel” by “opening the Google Chrome” and downloading AnyDesk (ID: 1972466193/“SERVER SECURE”)
- Once they remotely connected to my virtual machine, they wanted me to fill out a “PayPal Refund Form” that falsely claims they were accredited by the Better Business Bureau.
- I was then asked to log into my nonexistent bank account. But as I don’t do online banking, he transferred me to a “refund manager” who wanted me to log into my nonexistent bank account.
- Their “Senior Officer, Steve,” wanted me to secure my money from the “three hackers” by going to my bank.
